 Re: Ask Anders
Hi Anders, Since I'm really interested in that new band of yours, Full Force, I thought it would be a nice idea to ask something about that.
So how far are you already with the album?

 Re: Ask Anders
Now I have to ask if you know anything about Oscars and Joacims working methods when composing. I mean do they do it together all the time and does Oscar compose more melodies and Joacim more lyrics or such?
I'm just wondering about it nothing too important.

 Re: Ask Anders
The Full Force-band has never played. It's in the song writing stage. Stefan is one of the main guys in this band and asked me to play since he knows what he gets. A reliable drummer that spends minimum of time in the studio. He also gets a guy that can enjoy his whipping out his cock and balls at strange times Joacim and Oscar works like this: Oscar writes all the music except the melodie lines. Then Joacim gets the music and adds on the singing. With words and all. Some rare cases the words and melodies are already there (I think a ballad or two was made this way). Then when it's all done the rest of us gets a cd and we record it. We don't rehearse at all really. But we have played for so long that it's not really needed. Anders

 Re: Ask Anders
No question. just about your last blog: That's not a Hotdog!!! Who ever called this thing hotdog either didn't know how to translate 'Bratwurst' and 'semmel/Brötchen' or has no clue what a hotdog is. No one would dare to sell this as hotdog where I'm from. That's a Bratwurstsemmel. The sausage in your picture looks a bit like a Thuringian sausage. You should taste the sausages from Nuremberg. They are really tasty. ..sorry if I bother you with the difference of german sausages but I love food.

 Re: Ask Anders
Especially that last thing makes the difference, I guess. But how do you explain the 2 demos on the Full Force myspace site? Was that done by computer?

 Re: Ask Anders
Hi, yes, computer drums.
I'll meet Stefan tomorrow. He is stationed a few kilometers away from where I live. He is so bored during his off time. He usually comes for lunch.
One time he forgot to put a plate on his tray in the buffet style restaurant. He put the food directly on the tray. And started to eat. He was probably tired. The work him hard, the cargo-plane people. It's a true story.
Best,
Anders

Directly on the tray? That is awesome lol. Pretty gross if it's like the ones here though... I'd like to think other countries are a bit more hygienic though.

 Re: Ask Anders
Hi Anders, Some new questions: I'm about to buy a drumkit (finally), but I don't think I will take lessons (life is expensive enough already). For you it worked really well (yes, that's a compliment ), I don't know if it will work for me but I have some experience with percussion instruments, such as snare drum and bongos. First question: when you started teaching yourself, did you use a double bass drum? And how did you maintain friendship with the neighbours?

 Re: Ask Anders
Hey Anders! Have you proposed this to the other guys: That on the next album, YOU will be in charge of how the drums should be played, on one song? Completely just your ideas on a whole song. I know that you'll probably never will be able to be in charge of the drumming on a whole album, but maybe one song would be ok? I'm pretty sure indeed that with the right music and melodies, that song would stand out and sound killer!

 Re: Ask Anders
Thanks for the interest in my playing.
I have a hard time getting the small things I do play now to be accepted due to the fact HammerFall is a song-oriented band and not a musicians band. Tha creative forces behind it simply don't like that sort of stuff and they think it doesn't fit the songs. I tend to think they are (kind of) right. In case you are interessted in complex drumming (from me), there are some records from the past I feel are pretty ok. Fission with Jens Johansson, Johansson/Last Viking has a few songs. Sonic Winter also. Heavy Macinery with Holdsworth. Art Metal with Jonas Hellborg and Ia Eklundh, Winterlong. There are some more fusion or progressive metal stuff as well, please check wikipedia in case someone is really interested.
All the best!
Anders
