Post Care of your pets
I know some of you have a dog or any other pets. So I thought a lame topic were we can talk about food, toys and snacks for our beloved anmials was a nice idea. A lot of brands are available worldwide or at least in most European countries. Do you feed your pets with any special food or snacks for their health?
At the moment I'm up to order dog food again. Like everybody else I want only the best for the dogs but meanwhile it's pretty expensive to buy everyweek a bag of Robur (Bozita) for 57,50 Euro. It's a really good dog food. Now I want mix the expensive dog food with the cheaper Bozita Original dog food. I don't want completely feed the cheaper Bozita food. I think German Sheperds like ours need food wich is good for their bones and health.
Now I'm sitting on my computer, have no clue which sort of the Bozita food I should order...but I have already snacks and dog toys in my cart.

It's much easier and cheaper to buy food and toys for the cats.

By the way there is always a box with cat and dog snack on my desk but the dogs prefer peppermint gum and candys. The eldest dog even steal them from the car, the desk...where ever peppermint candys lie around.

Well we used to have Eukanuba for our dog, but since he had an epileptic attack a few months ago (he's only four years old!), we give him more powerful food, don't know the English word for it. But it was because my elder brother walked WAY too big distances with him, just because my brother doesn't want to become fat... the egocentric bastard

You mean functional food? Food with more vitamins, a more nutirtious food. Eukanuba has good dog food.
My mums'dog is allergic on a lot things. She (dog) needs special sensitive food, otherwise she could get organ failure due her allergies.

Our cat is very picky on her food... she only wants certain brands and such... and if there's any roast beef or salmon around, she'll want some too (except when it's smoked salmon). She doesn't eat that much in quantities tho, so we don't really have to spend too much money on her food.

Absolutely NOT!

My cat eats everything as long as it is served with lots of jelly. And that kind of cat food you can buy from really cheap (Whiskas or Felix) to extremly expensive. And he is exactly as happy and healthy with cheap and expensive food. So finally I decided to buy the cheap food as long as it's sugar free - I don't want to spend the so saved money on the vet to repair my cat's teeth.

On the other hand he has no use at all for toys. If I buy a new one he looks at it, and then looks at me with real scorn like liking "What the hell do you think I'm supposed to do with this thing???" In the best case he is scared of it  I guess as an outdoor cat he finds better things to do than playing with a toy.

Oh, our cats eat a lot dry food. One of our cats is also really picky and eat only food with fish but luckily he also likes dry food. I buy a bag 15 kg bag of Nyttiga Bitar and make go further with cheap food from the supermarket. Since we feed the cats this way, they don't get sick that often. Before we went once a month to the vet because they got a cold or had problems with their stomach.

Well, I guess one out of four cats doesn't like playing with toys!
One of mine doesn't play with toys, but he loves those catnip pillows. Catnip is fun for human and most cats! :D
The others love furry balls.
Someday I want cockatiels! I had two of them in my childhood and the birds were really entertaining! And I think the cats would love it too to watch them.

Why this stupid dried turnip if you can chew fresh one outside in the garden? ;)

Concerning dry food he is very picky - he gets uses to the taste pretty soon and then doesn't want it anymore. So no cheap big bags for him, but always 3 small bags (he gets dry food in the morning, really good idea if it is hot ;) ). This way my cat always gets a different food than the day before and is happy. BTW: The dry food has an impact on the glossiness of his fur, with Animonda Rafiné it looks best.

Sorry! I had no idea how else I could call this topic!
Any suggestions?

@Islane: Why do you eat chips when you can get fresh potatoes in the garden? :P
Ages ago I started calling dried food "cornflakes" because our cats like them for breakfast and as snack. In the evening they want canned food.
I had many years ago a cat which was 16 years old. Her teeth were in a very bad condition and the vet told us with dry food we could prevent dental calculus.
