Imho there is no problem to combine science and belief. Just look at the Big Bang: Everything until then is more or less well researched and known. But what was before and why did the Big Band happen? As long as there is no scientific explanation I believe it to the caused by a meta-being, that is god.

Well nowadays the big bang is considered by people to be the most well known theory and most supported but there are others like spiral theory and such.

Well let me tell you.

I do know what most people think christianity about. I know what and why in the bible is emphasized yet my point is:
Even though bible has a lot of wise things said in it that people tend to remember and try to live by it also has a huge pile of pure garbage in it if you look closer. Religions have the bad habit of not changing with the time and that is understandable since I can't see the day pope coming out and saying "god is not the way you think and this book you call bible will be rewritten since we found out it is not what it should be"
But well catholics are a whole another bunch of the idiotic order (well not all but some of them are really crazy)

Yeah we should just remember How Galileo Galilei died.
The Catholic Church just did not like his idea of the earth being a ball thats spinning around in space.
Now in the 20th century he has been apologized and I think that is one of the things that I hate the most in Catholic church.
How can they apologize something when they did declare pope never to mistake anything?

And you haven't told your opinnions on Fundamentalists yet. That is something I would really wnat to hear too.

Yes, the 'CATHOLIC CHURCH'.... I am Orthodox!! :P We have got a dozens of differents with them...
