Hallo to all,

some guys, like me too, use a symbolic image for avatar. And when there is a story behind,
would you tell it?

For me comes all from the music. The song “Tyrant Heart” I wrote for all people which were
killed for their free mind. That is not from the ages, that still happens today everywhere
around this world. Because the text line “And the stage is prepared for you, the hangman knows
his part…” I decided to take the figure of the unhappy guy, I found on a marked place in a small
town, to add a dark nuance to the graphical outline of my songs. From that point I used to hide
my image for internet conversations behind the head of that unhappy guy.
(By the way, I’m a happy man.)
My nickname/username “Tyrant Heart” is from my music, but I believe there has been no tyrant
at all. They all were humans and a human has a heart. The only tyrant is the mob, getting out of control...

Anyway, my story is way more simple.
Islane was the name of the very first character I played in the old (and still best) RPG Baldur's Gate. Somehow I think the pronounciation as well as the look of this word kinda represents me. So I re-used it for every other game, PC, pen & paper or LARP as well as for all forums.
The avatar is belonging to me for years now as well. I made this one by myself as one of my very first attempts in graphic design. It's both a simple ring of fire as well as the sun's corona during an eclipse. Imho it's simple, but at the same time it's an awesome sight.

I believed, that your nickname goes in the direction of a warrior, because your picture at the
avatar reflected that imagine, but I thougt it would come from south american indians like the
yanomami maybe.

Yes, for me you looks like a warrior. For the harder kind of music this image is worthful.
I also mean, that Oscar Dronjak looks like a warrior or Dave Mustane for example.
