Very nice carving! :)

The stores have Halloween decoration and there are some Halloween theme parties... but basically that's it. Halloween isn't really celebrated that much here... no trick or treating over here...

I had the most un-halloweenish halloween ever! We went to a friend's party for the birthday of her dog

I hope everyone had a great Halloween. It's always been my favorite holiday. This year was really bad. We had to attend a friend's funeral on Halloween, so that really sucked the fun out of it. There were the usual trick-or-treaters at the door. Hopefully next Halloween will be better. I'm still a little bummed that neither of us felt like going out due to the funeral. It was hard to miss a Halloween on a Saturday with a full moon. :(

When I was growing up we used to have parties where a story would be told and in the story everyone would be killed off. If someone lost their eyeballs in the story we'd pass around peiled grapes and say they were that persons eyes and things like that. We would trick-or-treat, carve pumpkins and my father would run around with the chain off of the chainsaw trying to scare the hell out of the rest of the neighborhood. He usually succeeded. I miss that stuff.

The only thing that reminded me about Halloween was 1 group of 5 trick or treaters at the door. Oh, saw 2 or 3 walking around. I don't mind them, but I think it's a bit unnecessary, Halloween. It's an American party, why do have things like that to be taken over by Europeans? C'mon, the name of that day was practically stolen from the first power metal band ever, how lame is that! In 20 years we'll celebrate thanksgiving and independence day here!
