 Happy New Year 2010
Just wanted to wish you all a happy new year. Anyone doing anything interesting to celebrate? We're gonna just sit in the hot tub, drink beer and listen to our "interesting" neighbors attempt to blow themselves up. Should be entertaining.

Blow themselves up? You do have interesting neighbors! Not much going on here, we'll be taking it easy, doing some gaming. (I'm still farming for that elusive mini polar bear, damn it.) Told the kids since we did the Christmas open house I won't be doing a New Years gathering; that's too much, too quick. Hope you all have a fun night, and a fantastic 2010!

Not doing much special here either... watching a movie with food and drinks... and around midnight we have to make sure the cat doesn't get outside, and dad has to go make sure the pony doesn't run off in panic from the fireworks...
A happy new year to all of you and I hope 2010 will be a good year for you all!

 Re: Happy New Year 2010
Here in Holland we celebrate with lots of fireworks. I bought lots of it, but nothing compared to my brother. We're only allowed to buy fireworks three days before the end of the year, and on the last day of the year we can do fireworks from 10 AM until 2 AM (the next day). Lots of people go to Belgium to buy (illegal) fireworks there, some people get arrested

 Re: Happy New Year 2010
Fireworks are illegal here in my little town, and as I live next door to a county sheriff, yeah, no fireworks at home. Not that it stops a lot of folks, but it will stop us, since I kind of like to stay on the neighbor's good side, he's actually a nice guy. That was the nice thing about the last place we lived, we were on the side of the street that was "county land", not "city", so even though we were in town we could shoot fireworks. At least we're finally out of emergency drought status, so it won't be quite as scary as it was over summer when folks were shooting off fireworks and it was so dry. Guilds Wars, good music, and probably a bottle of Jack or perhaps some Alize' pretty much wrap up the plans for around here.

 Re: Happy New Year 2010
Wow, thats harsh, illegal to shoot fireworks!! thats really crap. we have restrictions on when we can buy them and let them off. usually guy ffawkes and new year and some celebrations have displays through the year, like the lord mayors procession.

 Re: Happy New Year 2010
When the drought was so bad it was understandable. And it's not really all that far to get "out of town", it's just finding a place that's not private property to use for it as Mom moved into the city after Dad passed away. There will be a big show over the lake, set off from the next community west of us, about 8 miles. If it's not too cold we may climb up on the roof to watch that. Then again, I've admitted before, I am a total wimp about the cold so I'm more likely to be right here in this chair.

Happy New Year! I went to a little Guitar Hero party and we shoot fireworks. It was pretty much fun but the other people run away when I'm singing.
