My all time favourite strange lyric is Holy Diver by Dio. What the hell do the single song lines mean?

Ok, about these lyrics for Holy Diver...
If you want me to be serious, here's my explanation: WTF?! I have no clue. That's about some mighty holy diver, whatever that should mean.
On the other hand, if you DON'T want me to be serious, here's what I see in these lyrics:
This is a diver that stayed in some midnight sea for too long, and because he stayed there that long, Dio started to change. Anyway, this diver needs to jump on a tiger (remember, everything is under the sea) and to have some diamonds that look like cat with one black and one blue eye when he jumps. When he does that, he will ride a tiger, but something will be coming for him. To avoid the conflict, he must hide his race for the morning inside the sun (that probably means that the night will be eternal until he gets the race for the morning out of the sun ) and Dio and his company will pray until the diver sees the sun again, but he can't wait for their prayers and the sun because he's got to run away from what was coming for him. So between the lies there was a hard truth, but the vision of the never ending wheel won't get away, so he can't see that truth (the wheel is too big). Diver is anyway still scared to jump on a tiger, but he's a star so he doesn't need to be afraid. But diver is smarter, because he knows the tiger is aggressive. The tiger is not enough clean, even though he's under the sea, and because of that diver doesn't understand what Dio means, and Dio is sad because of that. He just tells the diver that he must run away from what was coming for him.
I don't know what exactly have I written now, but that's what the song is about

I like short explanation, so this is also a shorty: it's about the time that that thing happened to Joacim, so that's the time when he became angry and frustrated, just read:

Found this thread again. I've spent some time listening only to Holy Diver, and I think that I realized finally what is it about (at least what I think it is).

Well, as it says here, for example: "Ride the tiger you can see his stripes but you know he's clean oh don't you see what I mean"
or: "you can hide in the sun 'till you see the light"
"Between the velvet lies there's a truth that's hard as steel"
"you can see his stripes but you know he's clean"

Isn't it quite obvious, analyzing these lines, that it says about someone "hypocritical"? Someone who wants to present himself to you somehow, while he's quite an opposite person inside?
