Judas Priest has a thread here, so why not Firewind?

I bought their album The Premonition like 2 months ago, and I was blown away, especially by the first song (Into The Fire). Mayhem is also a fan I believe, so I'm sure we can have a nice talk over here

Well I have all Firewind products excluding singles and I do thing you need to expand you collection on this band

Well firewind is amazing and I do think Gu.G is not just one of the best Power Metal guitarrists ever he is also one of the best composers.
Firewind never repeats itself (ok maybe on the first 2 albums the singers monotonous but good vocals made it sound that way) and the band evolves by each album.
They have yet to do a bad album.

And the Luve album and DvD are great I recommend those.

It was not too long ago that all Firewind products were discounted to under 8,99€ in almost everywhere so you should have acted when you had the chance.

I personally Like Premonition a lot but it has some songs like Mercenary Man and Head up High that have one tiny problem... You can't hear the drums at certain parts almost at all.
Well on most of the album everything is fine but those two have some problems with that.

Allegiance is also one amazing album. It is a bit different but it also holds some of the best songs of Firewind and has great variety in different types of songs.

Forged By Fire is a good album too. Very 80s sound and style. Reminds me of Scorpions in a way (well Gus is a big Scorpions fan)
The singer on this album just joined Power Quest and I think he has good voice (yet I do prefer Apollo)

Burning Earth is the most instable album in my opinnion.
It holds some of the greatest classics like I Am the Anger and The Fire and the Fury but it also has the weakest Firewind songs.
It is also quite short.

Between Heaven and Hell has a lot of great stuff but as I already said the singers monotonous voice makes the music sound monotonous too. The Raw sound on some songs is amazing and has such huge power. The first two songs are propably the best so check them out.

So My recommended order for Buying Firewind products:

1. Live Premonition
2. Allegiance
3. Premonition
4. Between Heaven and Hell
5. Forged By Fire
6. Burning Earth

Well I bought The Premonition for 8 euros, so I don't think I did a too bad job I'm quite interested in The Allegiance though, so it's a pity I didn't notice the low prices earlier.

BTW, do they have any more songs like Into The Fire? It's my favourite.

Well Into the Fire is just as unique as each one of their songs.
Perhaps Allegiance.
BTW I might say that their instrumentals are top class!

I have The Allegiance album, but I've never really listened to it. I've heard just several songs.

Well if you like good music give it a few spins.
It ain't the easiest Firewind record to digest but once you do it certaintly is one of the best.
