I mean the list is obviously made by a machine since no thinking creature would add SX album to the 100 best PM album but 100 best ProgM albums. Sure they have lots of PM influences but that doesn't include them to the genre PM

I said this is good because they have a lot of great bands there, but I never thought about which bands should not be there... :P

I don't mind Symphony X being on that list. Wuthering Heights is on there too, and they're also very proggy. The point is, Progressive Power Metal is a kind of Power Metal in my opinion, because of the use of instruments and clean vocals. The aforementioned bands all have cookiemonster vox, which is a way bigger letdown for Power Metal fans than the change of pace or a greater length of the songs.

I kinda like Symphony X by the way :)

Actually I listened to the title track of The Odyssey. That whole album is actually where I want to start my further exploration by the way, I intend having it in my collection before the end of the year 8-) And I'll tell you later if it was for my own good :mrgreen:
