Re: Edguy Tobi, the absolutely totally insane little man. It's a wonder he didn't make it to a funny farm yet  Concerning music... I think it gets worse with every new release. The best Edguy did ever produce was Vain Glory Opera. Same with Avantasia: Part 1 and 2 were masterpieces, while The Scarecrow (apart from the title track) is just nice, but not more.

Re: Edguy They're OK, but nothing more than that. They wouldn't be a real addition to the list of bands that I like.
But I love Avantasia... what's up with The Scarecrow anyway? I haven't heard it yet and I read it wasn't really metal...

Re: Edguy What is metal? In my opinion the borders between metal and some rock or sometimes even popish rock are hard to define. On The Scarecrow there ARE metal songs, some are even amazing, but nothing as powerful as on the previous releases. And there are songs that would work great for any commercial radiostation. But I think that's not too bad.
Just go to youtube and search for the title track, "The Toy Master" and on the other hand for stuff like "Carry Me Over". I like all three tracks, but they're pretty different.

Re: Edguy I love the video clip for "Superheroes", quite funny (as is Tobi). Saw them live in the beginning of January, really enjoyed myself, nice band to start the concert year with.
