Well, laptop is more snug than desktop... It's smaller and you can transfer it everywhere...
But on the other hand, desktop is too much better than the leptop (abou the system)... You can change any hardware at any time... It's faster (this is up to CPU, and on desktop you can make your own choice). You can make choose your own parts of it, but on laptop you can't.

So my vote goes for DESKTOP!!

I use both quite often... Because I have internet connection on laptop, and desktop is in my room so I use that one when I'm doing something else or play games. I like both.
Anyway, I shall vote... for desktop, I guess. Probably because I'm more "used to it".

I will agree to all of you that a Desktop is great to have if you just need great power.

But I have a nice laptop that comes with a lot of power to and is easy to upgrade with new parts and to extend the power aswell.

I use this Laptop in studio, my programming and 3D modelling/rendering in Maya, I also edit a lot and create a hell lot more in Photohop.
It even works great with games since I do play a lot
The laptop is great for multitasking. Since I always is on the run to places and this phenomena become more and more frequent I will have to pick Laptop because of this.
