 Re: Sports anyone?
We do say soccer. Ironically I very much like our kind of football, especially since my home team has the best record in the NFL right now and I don't like soccer. But I've got to admit, those overseas are real passionate about their kind of football. I heard once several years ago that a guy wanted to purchase some tickets over the phone wound up with a broken finger because he kept dialing the same number over and over again since the redial button wasn't working and he couldn't get through. He did it something like 1500 times!

 Re: Sports anyone?
Well thats not the problem around here since our teams just play in some snowy field and there are like 3-4 viewers and nothing is broadcasted. Thats the Finnish way of football. But I guess it is simply fair for you not to like "Soccer" since your football ain't very popular around here. People know of its existance but nobody watches it. And we never get your movies as they always have somethig either about baseball or your football. Baseball on the other hand is not played here. We play just our national sport Pesäpallo which reminds baseball a lot. Yet it has more action and ain't that much of a spectator sport.

 Re: Sports anyone?
I can't really say I'm much of a sports fan. I love watching wrestling, but then that's more in the entertainment line than an actual sport. Of course, as I've argued w/ my Mom before, even if it is "for show", if you don't know what you're doing you WILL get seriously hurt. Football, well, generally I can take it or leave it. But tonight, like most of the state, I will be watching UT in the Rose Bowl. *HOOK 'EM HORNS* Like watching soccer matches out of Europe on occasion, only because they are soooo into it. Soccer here is kinda "blah", except for when my kids were playing of course. Those were the best games ever, IMHO. Baseball and basketball bore me to tears.

 Re: Sports anyone?
I play football (soccer), and to be honest, I'm pretty good at it. I'm playing as a forward so I'm the goalscorer in the team, and this winter I've been called up to the A-squad in the local club I also like to go cross-country skiing, and I also want to try biathlon, but I haven't had the chance yet. Hockey is one of the sports I watch when there is a World Championship or Olympics, otherwise I'm not a big fan of it.

Ok, very nice. When you think about going to university, go to Wageningen, Holland. We have a nice football club here, called GVC. It's really international-orientated. And we don't mind a good striker to join

 Re: Sports anyone?
In elementary school I was trying and trying but I did not find anything interesting. I do come from sports family (grandmother and father- gymnastics, uncle-football, aunt- handball...) so maybe beacuse preassure was high, I did not find myself in any kind of sport. However, since I like to eat, I ride bicycle, sometimes I do pilates and that is all.

 Re: Sports anyone?
Good luck with the gym. I usually work out at home. I have more success sticking to it that way.

 Re: Sports anyone?
When I'll be studying, I'll probably gonna use the gym at the university. I never tried it before, so I should be careful. But hey, you gotta do something to keep the attention of the ladies right
