Re: Songs that move you emotionally
I can´t hear anymore Nightwish- Sleeping Sun Apocalyptica- Nothing else Matters, Metallica- Nothing else Matters too My uncle died four years ago ( he was just 51) and we played this songs at his funeral because he loved Rock/metal. Everytime I hear the songs I get sad or have to cry a little bit, even after four years.

HammerFall-Never Ever HammerFall-Always Will Be HammerFall-Remember Yesterday Nightwish-Ever Dream Helloween-Forever And One Queensryche-Another Rainy Night And many more. Anything that's related to love moves me emotionally... That's why I don't really like the love songs, just because they move me emotionally. I don't like that feeling.

Re: Songs that move you emotionally
Just digged up this thread. Why would one listen to songs that make him/her sad? Some songs to add to my list: Blind Guardian - Banished From Sanctuary, Mordred's Song, Precious Jerusalem, Punishment Divine, Carry The Blessed Home, Lionheart, Tanelorn (Into The Void), Valkyries Demons & Wizards - Beneath These Waves, Love's Tragedy Asunder, Down Where I Am, Lunar Lament Freedom Call - Turn Back time (so glad I never found myself in that exact situation. At least that's what I want to achieve really soon) Orden Ogan - To New Shores of Saddness, Farewell, All These Dark Years, Requiem Rammstein - Tier (the lyrics say it all...) Savage Circus - Ballad of Susan Thaurorod - Shadows and Rain That's not all of them, just alot of my current mood I'm afraid

Re: Songs that move you emotionally
Horror movies are quite... thrilling, how should I say, they make you tense. Those are some feelings that can give you "zest" (I've actually never heard this word before, but GT says that's the correct one, I hope you understand), some strange kind of "strenght", or perhaps adrenaline.... I guess it would be easier to explain what I mean with my arms and legs what I mean than like this. Anyway, you probably understand. But sad songs can only give you small miserable feeling, depression. Yuck. I agree with Andreas. I kinda avoid the songs I wrote here. @Andreas, nice list. I'll add here also Blind Guardian-Imaginations From The Other Side. I explained why a rather long time ago in some other thread.

Re: Songs that move you emotionally
Plenty of songs move me emotionally, some songs make me a little sad, some make me happy, and some just unleash that inner metal and make me want to bang my head off my neck. A few that come to mind: HammerFall--Living in Victory. The second pre-chorus "Chasing dragons by the moon/burning bridges around you... etc." for some reason makes me almost want to cry a little bit, but I still love the song. DragonForce--Lost Souls in Endless Time. This one never fails to cheer me up. It's got such an upbeat everything. Manowar--The Dawn of Battle. This one song captures almost everything I love about metal. Just listen to it if you haven't heard it before. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JlnoTWIOknAThere's plenty of others, like I said before, but these are ones that come to mind right away. Plus I don't really have time to list all of the songs right now. There's way too many.

Re: Songs that move you emotionally
In fact, you're absolutely right about Living In Victory!!! I didn't remember it when I was writing these songs here, but you're right, the whole text really can move you emotionally, and it is about... a rather delicate subject, I'd say.

Re: Songs that move you emotionally
Hello, I am sorry for writing in an old thread, but I was looking for this quite a while, and I hope, that I found it now.
It was the HammerFall song Hearts on fire, that brought me into metal scene. Since than, I expanded my songs list, but I mostly listen to songs on youtube. Now I'm listening to Sabaton, Hammerfall, and a little of Rhapsody, Godsmack, Disturbed, Iron Maiden, and also an old band, in fact older than I am: GammaRay. Anyway I listen to different songs, depending on my current mood. I couldnt help myself, but to start thinking, what songs are songs, that a girl could like. So far, I made a list of HammerFall songs, and If anyone else knows any song like them, maybe also having some love, but not necessary, I would realy appreciate that. The only way I can express myself sometimes is trough music, and if you guys could help me with that, I would love that. here is my list: Hammerfall: -Dreams come true -Remember yesterday -Always will be -In memoriam - I belive -The fallen one - Life is now (maybe) +Glory to the brave +never ever + At the End of The Rainbow Anyway, these songs from hammerfall, have deeper meaning for me, feel free, to let me know if I'm right. If any girl could advice, what a rocker girl who also listens to linkin park would like, please let me know.
