Only HF related discussion would kill this board. It would kill every band forum if there would only be bandrelated discussions.

To get things like this moving, there's some questions to be considered:

When? As much people as possible should be possible at a certain date.
Where? It would be nice to find a place where as much people as possible can go to. Traveling isn't always cheap y'know.

There could be more questions, but these 2 seem very elementary to me.

I think to organise a meeting needs to be done careful. It can't be done in near future because people have to spend their holiday for it.
Best place for a meeting is a place (for Europeans) where everybody can go there pretty cheap. For example are flights to London much cheaper than flights or ferry boats to Sweden. I don't know how much such flights cost in other countries but most times flights to London are quite cheapt. Of course it always depends on which people would come. If only people from Germany, Belgium or Holland would come, it might be better to organise a meeting somewhere in North-Germany or the South of Netherlands.

Edit: and I think at least one member should know the location or place of meeting very well. It would be helpful if somebody could organise things in that place but first we need to know who would join the meeting.

Indeed. It's a long-term plan as you said, but that also means there's plenty of time for preparations. And I don't know how many members look at this section of the forum, so this idea should be in a more visited section I think. And of course, mini-meetings are also nice ideas.
