 Re: Kiuas
Yeah, I just listened to Warrior Soul. Not bad. Just like -Mayhem- said, you can really find every genre of metal in their songs!

 Re: Kiuas
That's not good... after the change of lead vocalist, most bands get worse and worse...

 Re: Kiuas
Best example for this is probably Helloween. Since Kai Hansen left the band, Helloween doesn't sound like Helloween anymore. But they are not bad but they were more special with Kai. On the opposite, AC/DC are very succeful with Brian Johnson while a lot people thought with Bon Scott's death they would never be succeful again. Let's see/hear what the new singer is like.

 Re: Kiuas
In my opinnion, each band literally depends on the vocalist. That's usually the most important thing everywhere. Imagine, for example, if Joacim wanted to leave HF. They'd NEVER be what they are now.

 Re: Kiuas
Actaully it is what changes the overall sound most because voice is such an unique instrument BUT the musical style won't change at all since all the songwriting is done by the other members and they aren't going to change the sound.

 Re: Kiuas
Maybe, but that's still not it entirely.

 Re: Kiuas
And often people don't like changes in bandmembers but is it really that bad? Look at the early Firwind. On the first four albums they changed at least two members for every album. They have had three singers. I still think those album as are all really good and enjoyable.

 Re: Kiuas
It doesn't mean that the change is necessarily bad, but it often is. One of the reasons for that probably is the fact that most of the bands make the songs for their current singers. When someone new comes, he sometimes can't sing in the same way like the former singer. But that doesn't mean that the new one is bad, although the fact is that the band sounded better. Take Nightwish for example.

 Re: Kiuas
Well yes that is indeed a bit problematic sometimes. Firewinds current singer has alot of problems trying to perform I Am The Anger live when his voice lacks the same roughness.
