I don't mind Symphony X being on that list. Wuthering Heights is on there too, and they're also very proggy. The point is, Progressive Power Metal is a kind of Power Metal in my opinion, because of the use of instruments and clean vocals. The aforementioned bands all have cookiemonster vox, which is a way bigger letdown for Power Metal fans than the change of pace or a greater length of the songs.

Actually I listened to the title track of The Odyssey. That whole album is actually where I want to start my further exploration by the way, I intend having it in my collection before the end of the year And I'll tell you later if it was for my own good
