Re: Christmas and New year 2011!!
Christmas is traditionally a day spent with the family. On New Year's Eve I'm planning to go out with some friends to a nice pub that plays rock and metal. The past few years I've spent New Year's Eve at home and I want to do something more fun this year. New Year's Day usually is spent with the family as well.

Christmas at home, of course. My oldest brother and my sister will come over, as usual. Of course, we won't lose sight on the religious aspect. Concerning new year's eve, it's tradition here to celebrate with lots of fireworks. Since last year, I decided not to join in anymore. It's bad for the environment and the animals, plus it's a waste of money.

Our family has bought fireworks just once and only some few rockets. We prefer watching. A lot safer and totally free.

Absolutely. The biggest danger from fireworks however in Holland is the illegal, foreign (Belgian) stuff. We have really strict fireworks regulations.

Re: Christmas and New year 2011!!
Cristhmas in Serbian Orthodox church is 7th of January... so I don't have any plans yet... Speaking of New Year, I'll probably be home with my three best friends, do whatever we want to do, unless if my friends from new school find a good location where we could all toghether celebrate... Anyway, I expect a great time!

Re: Christmas and New year 2011!!
Wrong... the biggest danger of fireworks is when irresponsible people light it / play with it...

Re: Christmas and New year 2011!!
Yeah you can see some kids shooting eachother with them every year for fun even though they aren't even allowed to do so by law. Finland used to have such high freedom in purchasing fireworks but it is getting stricker and stricker. Every singel year there are hundreds of eye injuries. Tens of thousands of finns have lost their eyesight because of playing with fireworks.
