Absolutely. The biggest danger from fireworks however in Holland is the illegal, foreign (Belgian) stuff. We have really strict fireworks regulations.

Wrong... the biggest danger of fireworks is when irresponsible people light it / play with it...

Nope, it's them Belgians who sell them to the innocent Dutch!

Post Re: Christmas and New year 2011!!
My christmas is usually stressful. We have three familys to visit ( my housbands parents are seperated).
On 24th we are at my father in law for coffee. In the evening we visit my parents where I meet my sister and my grandparents.
On the 25th we are at my housbands aunt where we see the grandparents of him (fatherly side) for lunch and coffee. In the evening my mother in law visits us for dinner.
On the 26th we visit my housbands other grandma for coffe.
I hope we have nothing more to do in the evening.

On 31th we always have a party because my housbands birthday is the 1st january.

So, no relaxing for me..... :(

Hey, we can't help it if you can't say no to buying quality stuff 8-) Just remember, you lot cross the border and come to us for shopping, it's not like we come to Holland and force you all to buy it :D

Well, I once was in a fireworks shop in Belgium (Kapellen I believe), and there's some stuff that Belgians are not allowed to buy, but people from abroad can. They know most of their foreign customers are Dutch, and that they have a risk of being arrested in Holland. Now how is that not evil and how are the Dutch not innocent?

In my town, for each new year there are great fireworks, long almost 10 minutes, magnificent!

Last New Year I celebrated in Paris. That was one of the best moments in my life, to see Paris, but the worst New Year ever!!! I was so disappointed by that, we were walking through one street, the one which ends with.. umm... "Arc de triomphe" (Avenue des Champs-Élysées) that was full of these agressive black men, and no one precisely knew when was midnight. There was no fireworks at all! It was so boring!
I just love my town!

10 minutes long?
Oh yeah if they are pro fireworks.
Here in Finland everyone shoots a big bunch of fireworks so we have fireworks from 18:00 to 03:00

This one is on the main square. But there are also some small fireworks made "personally". :P So in fact you never know when you will see one. But I'm talking about the big one. :)
