I bought an album a week or two ago from a band that I can't tell the genre of for sure. The band is Barn Burner, the album is called Bangers. I think the genre is somewhere between punk and classic heavy metal.

Since my last post, I bought the first four Iron Savior albums (not counting the EP somewhere in there), so that's Iron Savior through Condition Red.

Post Re: What was the last album you bought?
I am listening to the other six albums

Well now I got my first listen through all of them (well third or fourth for ones I bought on tuesday)
So about my first impressions on Power Quest - Blood Alliance.

A really good album. Difficult to compare to the old stuff. A bit heavier and somehow smoother sound. Less FreedomCallish and more Strato-like. I was really impressed by the new line-up. Drums were pretty good and guitars were reallyn awesome. Chity sounded really good too. I expected him to sound like he sounded with Firewind but this time he was a lot less Scorpions sounding. He also reached the higher notes pretty well too. Steve Williams is still his own self though. Great songwriting throught the record and some really good riffs and melodies here and there. Infact the solos were propably the most enjoyable part of the album.

I will be sparing my words for Symfonia since I will propably write a review about it on Metalstorm.
