OK nice. Just saw the lineup, there's not a single band I own all albums of. Firewind is my most popular band there, which isn't that good since I'm not very much into them (still like them though).

I've been to Blind Guardian's concert (best show ever).

Next is Apocalyptica in my town on 4th of July.

I think the last concert I went to was the Power Prog and Metal Fest in Bergen, with Europe, HammerFall, Edguy, Gamma Ray, Rage, ... which was a lot of fun Amazing setlist from HammerFall as well, a lot of old stuff, and "One More Time" live as well. It was a very good show, they seemed to be in a good mood as well, which I wasn't really expecting since they had cancelled the signing session when it was already 15 minutes past scheduled starting time...

Next concert: Graspop Metal Meeting and a bunch of other summer festivals, it looks like a fun summer ahead

*looks at bank account and ticket prices* ...I wouldn't really consider myself all that lucky... there's still a bunch of tickets which I can't buy yet due to lack of finances, so I have to keep my fingers crossed and hope they won't sell out any time soon Everything is so expensive these days

It's not the problem, even just several tickets are worthy to see such great bands... Problem are festivals and the place where I live... There are rarely any so good festivals around here, perhaps Exit in Novi Sad where sometimes some famous bands come, but again, nothing like for example WOA. If you see my point. I repeat-lucky you...

True, a lot of bands come fairly nearby. We can't complain much when it comes to that, even tho some bands just refuse to come to Belgium I usually have to drive somewhere between one or two hours (one way) to get there... without a car it's fairly impossible to go to concerts tho, you can forget getting home again with the public transport.

However when I compare the ticket prices over the last 10 years, they are getting quite expensive quite fast Yet concerts have never sold out this fast like they seem to do nowadays, festivals sell out before a lineup is even known... not always interesting if you don't have the money to get the tickets the very first day, or when you can't be at your computer at the exact hour they start selling the tickets...

But you are right when you say they at least come closeby here. Not sure why it is that some regions seem to be left out...
