I'm bothered by this song. It's just demonic, without a message. Legion was demonic too, but it had a line like "encounter your demons, send them to hell". Any thoughts about this song?

Yeah, Legion makes some sense, but I was worried about this since I just heard the name of the song! They're changing a lot... And they're worse and worse. Even in this. First it was Steel Meets Steel, now this. They're trying (probably on Oscar's initiative) to change into something dark, probably following some stupid influences in other bands (I don't know which), I just have no idea why... I hope it's not more than that. They do get weird ideas, and as the time passes by there are more and more.

They said this album would be different. Overall the album's good, but let's just hope they'll return to their earlier lyrical topics. There's enough depressed bands already.

And that they'll return their good old style, good old music videos, good old names for the albums and, above all, good old Hector on the cover. AND (I mean about Oscar in first place when I say this) MODESTY they once had, if you see what I mean ("this album will be the best one, this video is best ever, prepare to be infected with HF music, blah, blah..." yuck).

Well, the album title is "Infected" and the song tells about a man who got infected ( ) with an evil mark, did some bad things and sees his doom. Pretty much my literal understanding of the song...
Music-wise, refrains and the organ parts are really great.
If you want to talk about something that doesn't have sense, try "Get It On"....

Oh, I never noticed this before and now it doesn't bother me that much. What me really bother is "Send me a sign". The song is beautiful but the lyrics are a little bit weak. Compared to "Glory to the Brave", "Always will be" and "never ever", the lyrics of "Send me a Sign" are pretty lame. They match perfectly to this beautiful song but I'm used to deeper lyrics.
I'm fine with songs like "666 - The Enemy within". Reminds me a little bit of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.

Well at least you two have acceptable interpretations, I think I can live with it now.

Send Me A Sign... it's a good song, but HF has made better. Nothing wrong with that, there's gotta be a worst ballad

Oscar says that the title means "to get infected with HF music"... ( )

I was just listening carefully to all the songs on the new album... And it seems to me that Immortalized has perhaps even more demonic lyrics than 666-The Enemy Within

As I mentioned in another topic, I like the album.
But I must say too, that I would really like it if the lyrics and the cover would be more like the old albums.
Who get this idea about this zombie thing? It´s a bit weird but it seems "in" at the moment (especially when you take a look at the current horror literature).

Send me a sign is definetly the weekest Hammerfall ballad ever! It´s nice but nothing more.

The most wird song on the album is "I refuse". The verses are like a normal song, but than there is not the chorus you expect. Just this half-screamed "I refuse". I don´t know, but I don´t like the song because of this unnormal structure...

What should I say about "666-the enemy within"? It´s a good song.I think you should not mind so much abut the lyrics, it fits with the whole darker intension of the album.
But I hope, that this is just a experiment and the next album will be back to the roots.

And don´t rail against Oscar so much. He may be a little musical-band leading tyrant but I don´t think that he takes all decisions by his own. As far as I know does Joacim write most of the lyrics so he´s complicit.
