 Re: What Genres?
Eww.. Miley.. Well, I'll admit she's got talent and some of her stuff is at least tolerable, but ahhhh, I would never choose to listen to her. She's a better choice than someone like Britney Spears, though.

 Re: What Genres?
Brightcast, I believe that the Papa Roach lyrics are as follows:
'I tear my heart open, I sew myself shut, My weakness is that I care too much. And the scars remind us that the past is real, I tear my heart open just to feel...''

 Re: What Genres?
Meh, I'm not such a fan of their newer stuff. I'll always say their first was their best.

 Re: What Genres?
My favourite genres are Heavy Metal / Hard Rock. But I can listen to about anything, I classify music in "good" and "not good", genres are less important, just as long as the vocals don't annoy me Some of my favourite artists / bands, besides HammerFall, are: Metallica, Guns N' Roses, Iron Maiden, Motörhead, Megadeth, Judas Priest, Apocalyptica, Aerosmith, W.A.S.P., DragonForce, Edguy, Amon Amarth, Sabaton, Doro, Saxon, Manowar, Pantera, Nevermore, Therion, Monster Magnet, Rob Zombie, The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Deep Purple, ZZ Top, Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, ... and probably many more I'm currently not thinking of...

 Re: What Genres?
Combine those two and you'll have The Wizard's Last Rhymes But yeah, I agree with you. Epic (or symphonic) metal is great, but is has to be melodic. So that means mainly symphonic Power Metal. But for example Dimmu Borgir sounds quite good to me... except for the voice of Shagrath. And I'm not too fond of their lyrics either. Of course, I like the Heavy/Power Metal bands like HammerFall, and I grew up in a family where one listens a lot to classical music. So that's the perfect mixture for me. Think of Rhapsody and Avantasia for example. Furthermore I love Scottish folk music and music like the Blues Brothers. A few bands I really like: Alestorm, Apocalyptica, Blind Guardian, Metallica (not that much but still OK), Rammstein, Sabaton, Sonata Arctica and Stratovarius.
