 Re: X'MAS & NEW YEAR
It was fairly easy. Not as much fireworks as usual (my elder brother buys way too much firework every year), and I didn't drink too much. The oliebollen tasted great by the way.
The evening before I played monopoly with my girlfriend, her parents and her sister. Very entertaining. And my grandma was sent to the hospital, finally. She needs to be in a place where they help her do stuff, after all she's 90 years old now.

 Re: X'MAS & NEW YEAR
Now that you mentioned fireworks, I remember what I said when I saw the fireworks on the town square: "Look, it's Gandalf up there, he came back! I think that we never actually celebrate the coming of the new year, but Gandalf returning to our city with his magnificent fireworks!" But I was disappointed with the fireworks this year, used to be better, much better.

 Re: X'MAS & NEW YEAR
I had a good new year's eve. Partied with some friends in our usual pub until morning and then straight on to visit the family I don't like fireworks much tho, it scares the animals too much. Our cat goes into hiding and one of us has to go stand out in the yard for an hour to try and keep the pony calm...

 Re: X'MAS & NEW YEAR
The animal thing is the whole reason I'll never buy fireworks again.
As for our dog: he doesn't give a shit. Once someone threw an illegal (Belgian) piece of fireworks to us. Very loud explosion like 5 meters away, but our dog even didn't pay attention. Probably because we got him just before a new year's eve, and we never reacted to fireworks so he doesn't either.

 Re: X'MAS & NEW YEAR
Ine, you have the pony? I don't know, I like fireworks. You just keep your animals away from Gandalf when he comes for New Year's eve to make fireworks and everything will be just fine. My parrot doesn't care, he and Gandalf would probably get along quite well.

 Re: X'MAS & NEW YEAR
I think I'm not getting the joke yes, we have a pony. And it's difficult to keep your animals away when the fireworks are everywhere, everyone is lighting fireworks from everywhere... our neighbours had lighted a "thai wish lantern" and the damn thing flew straight into one of our trees luckily it was rainy enough so nothing caught fire

 Re: X'MAS & NEW YEAR
Haha, it's not really so terrible here, there are fireworks on the town square and in few houses around my neigbourhood, but nothing that could really scare the animals. Ohh, post a picture of your pony please!!! I just love them! I said Gandalf because that wizard's famous in Hobbiton because of his fireworks.

 Re: X'MAS & NEW YEAR
I think I have you added on Facebook, you can find more pictures of our pets, including the pony, there (it's the folder called "Huisdieren"). More pics of our cats there than of the pony but he's usually not very cooperative when I want to make pictures of him Our pony in summer: Our pony with his winter fur:

 Re: X'MAS & NEW YEAR
Haha, he may look cute but don't let his looks fool you He's a rather naughty pony, we should be more strict on him sometimes. He also needs to be put on a diet, haha, he eats anything you give him
