Right now I'm listening to one of their new songs. I'm not much into Nightwish but Nightwish's Last Ride of the day got stuck in my head.
I will check out the other songs but what I have heard so far was really impressiv.

Nightwish has okay music, they're fine, and I like several songs, but I don't know a lot of them because I don't like female vocals, really...

I'm not a fan. The only thing I liked about Nightwish were Tarja's vocals, the music has way too much keyboards for my liking and sounds a bit too chaotic. Now that they kicked Tarja out and got this new girl it got even worse. Sorry, the new girl just is nothing special, and is way too different from Tarja. However I do think this is for the best, because I think Tarja's solo work is a lot better than when she was still with Nightwish. And live she seems to have much more fun nowadays than when she was still with Nightwish.

But that's just my opinion.

Tarja has an extraordinary voice and possibilities to achieve impossible. I really appreciate her, but I female vocals are, unfortunately, really not my stuff...
Anyway, in my opinion, the music itself is great! I really like that sort of stuff, that what you called "chaotic" in my opinion brings some majestic and dark atmosphere with lots of power, and just LOVE that. But vocals ruin everything.
Especially with Anette (or whatever her name was), she's really a disaster. Although I didn't like Nightwish with Tarja also, I had to admit that they had a lot of quality.
Now that is gone.

I might check their classics Oceanborn and Wishmaster. Certainly not the Annette stuff, I don't know what's the hype about Imaeginamerima or something.

I agree, Anette's voice is nothing special and sometimes it's annyoing but I do like the melodies much more than the singing itself.
The keyboards are good. There could be more guitars. Storytime reminds me of a childrens song. I don't like it when Annette's voice sounds so high and kinda thin.

I tried to listen to the complete album at one day. Now I think I got an overdose of Nightwish and don't need to listen to for two weeks.
The sound is nice but I can't stand it for more than seven songs.

Why the hell does Imaginaerum remind me so much of my childhood? Suddenley I think about old Disney movies and stuff. The album is weird. Now listening to Ghostriver. Scary!

Hey, Ghost River?? I was interested in it when I read your comment "scary" and decided to hear it, and now I'm listening to it... In fact, her vocal sounds really funny. But I LOVE the song!!!! The song is AMAZING!!! The chorus or whatever.... *____* This is my kind of song... I don't think I'll spend any money on Nightwish so I'll download this from youtube. Because it's just great!!!
