On HammerFall forum, Blind Guardian is the most popular band, it seems to me. Interesting.

Tea you were faster, I was thinking about updating my writings in this topic.

Well, FINALLY I think, I have enough proof for myself and firm reasons to make my top three list official.

In the last several months some things in my opinions drastically changed.
I can't say whether HammerFall or Blind Guardian is better, for I like them in different ways. HammerFall is a band I listen to for a long long time, and that developed certain kind of love and addiction to this band. They're in the first place because those guys are very, very dear to me, filling my childhood dreams and things...
On the other hand, Blind Guardian is definitely a band that I, from musical point of view, respect a lot more. Their lyrics and style are much closer to me and my personality, and besides, they're a lot more serious band. They love what they do and they're no talks of commercial in their work whatsoever (which is the case with HF in the last months/years). Therefore is Blind Guardian the best music thing in this world.
But these two are impossible to place one after another.

So they share 1st and 2nd place, always exchanging positions.

AND... I've never listened to whole discography from neither Helloween, nor Gamma Ray, not Dream Theater, nor Queensryche, although I find them awesome. But there's a band which, in the last few months, managed to get above all of these I earlier considered " some among my favourite". I heard their whole discography and I have no single complain.

And so today (sorry for the novel above), my top three look like this:

1/2: HammerFall/Blind Guardian
3: Freedom Call.

oh, i didn't explain my top three bands. and now i must say that i am adding Arch Enemy on third place, with VR. so:
1. HammerFall
for me, HF has no video, note nor a lyric that i don't like. they are my addiction since i was 8, they are simply everything to me. don't know how to explain the way they mean to me but that is not fading by time at all

2. Death Destruction
met Jimmie after HF's gig, liked him a lot and when i heard their album, started listening to it, made earworms immidiately and had a need to follow and bother em

3. Vicious Rumors and Arch Enemy
i am in touch with Vicious Rumors' singer and they are really good but i am in ''phase'' of listening growling and such so when i saw Arch Enemy on TV, they won my ears ^^

Quite different from my taste, must say, but anyway...
Nice, I'm glad to see that you allowed yourself to start listening to something besides HF. (no offence)

It's funny thing, you're like Oscar or Fredrik. You like HF the most, but everything else you like is in quite different "mood"...

I'm getting more and more interested in prog power metal. I already know Theocracy, Evergrey, Symphony X and such quite well, now I have bought the latest Seventh Wonder album (expect a topic on them) and the first Circus Maximus album.
