Re: Songs that move you emotionally I found some more songs that move me emotionally (note: I usually don't like such songs. I don't like to move emotionally anyway xD) So: Avantasia - Farewell. Knowing the story, this song makes my skin crawl. As well as Into the Unknown. That song brings tears to my eyes. For one reason. Listening to it, you get the feeling that an epic event has come to an end. I don't like endings. Although it's a happy end, still... It was the HammerFall song Hearts on fire, that brought me into metal scene. Since than, I expanded my songs list, but I mostly listen to songs on youtube. Now I'm listening to Sabaton, Hammerfall, and a little of Rhapsody, Godsmack, Disturbed, Iron Maiden, and also an old band, in fact older than I am: GammaRay. Anyway I listen to different songs, depending on my current mood. I couldnt help myself, but to start thinking, what songs are songs, that a girl could like. So far, I made a list of HammerFall songs, and If anyone else knows any song like them, maybe also having some love, but not necessary, I would realy appreciate that. The only way I can express myself sometimes is trough music, and if you guys could help me with that, I would love that.
here is my list:
Hammerfall:

-Remember yesterday
-Always will be
-In memoriam
- I belive
-The fallen one
- Life is now (maybe)
+Glory to the brave
+never ever
+ At the End of The Rainbow
Anyway, these songs from hammerfall, have deeper meaning for me, feel free, to let me know if I'm right.
If any girl could advice, what a rocker girl who also listens to linkin park would like, please let me know. | | | | |
Dear Armageddon, I'm a girl but I'm probably not competent to talk about this. I really don't like Linkin Park. And all the songs from HF you mentioned I personally even dislike. Never Ever is one song I can't stand, although I respect it. But it's too emotional. I like happy and powerful. You almost only mentioned sad ballads. I hate that. Just saying. Ask somebody else.  BUT.... if you look for a love song... a sad love song... hm, try Lost Love from Judas Priest. Forever and One from Helloween. Or If I Knew. ... Try something from Nightwish, like Ever Dream. I don't know, I usually skip that pathetic shit. xD (sorry for these expressions, I know some people like that)

Olympos Mons - Through the Ice and Snow
And in the sad department:
Freedom Call - Turn Back Time
Helloween - A Tale That Wasn't Right
Helloween - Forever & One
Savage Circus - Ballad of Susan
Thaurorod - Shadows And Rain
I tried to find a good balance in these songs, the happy and the sad part. The happiest for me would be a tie between Olympos Mons and Dark Moor, the saddest must be Freedom Call.

Andre, I have no idea how come I forgot Love You To Death from Kamelot and Turn Back Time from Freedom Call... (epic song, this second one, although I'm not really into ballads... but just perfect).

But still, on top of all stands Blind Guardian - Imaginations From The Other Side. Listening to lyrics always almost get tears to my eyes. I've... grown up...
