I started alone too, so don't worry, just think positive. Eventually you might even find these 7 people, have patience. On lessons I took, there were only 6 of us. xD Anyway, it's really easy once you find "how it works". Try learning on your own, it is difficult but not impossible. :)

Oh yes, that's an epic word!

Here in Finland people have to study Swedish in elementary school because it has the status of an official language (which I'm very happy about) here. The minimum is 3 years, I think. So I've learned Swedish in elementary school and high school, and Swedish is now my minor at the university, yay! :) Although I haven't started studying it yet.

I'm not good at Swedish and I think I've forgotten every single thing I once learned since I haven't been studying it in such a long time... It's been more than a year. So basically, I suck at Swedish, but I really love the language! I think it's beautiful, interesting, challenging... Lovely.

I love the way Swedes talk Swedish! ^^ It just sounds so cool and vivid. I will never be able to speak Swedish like that, it's waaay too hard! Especially for me since my native language is Finnish which is a very monotonic and boring language.

No idea, for me, it didn't seem hard to learn pronunciation and accent of Swedish at all. And grammar is fairly easy. But it's been almost 4 years since I went to the course and I'm slowly forgetting it, which worries and saddens me...
But the language truly is beautiful. Chikyro, in case you already learned it, it shouldn't be too hard to try to revise it on your own...

That's true, I guess it wouldn't be too difficult to re-learn the things once forgotten. I should also start studying Swedish in a year or two, I'm not sure when but it's already my minor at the university.

Maybe learning pronunciation and accent is easier for some people. I always seem to struggle with them. It's just so difficult to get rid of the stupid Finnish way of speaking. :?
