 Mediaplayers
Hi everyone, I'm searching for a good media player, I don't really like winamp or windows media player. Anyone who has suggestions?

I agree with Ohtacaro. VLC is good for both videoes and music.  You can turn the sound up 400%

VLC is absolutely amazing (small, draws little on your system ressources) but looks like shit  Same with Mediaplayer Classic. So there is iTunes. And if you don't like Apple, but the iTunes layout you can use Songbird. And last but not least there is MediaMonkey which works greatly as a media manager as well.

I use SMplayer for video and Songbird for music.  I used VLC in the past for videos but somehow they messed up 5.1 output with pulseaudio in linux

In Windows I use Winamp (music) and BestPlayer (for .rmvb) and mediaplayer classic for remainder. In Linux Amarok for music and Totem for video.
