 Bookah
Hey everyone. My name is Brandon. I live in Canada, a country that Hammerfall is not well-known in (I don't think) but when my brother introduced them to me in about 2002 I was hooked from the start. Their first song I ever heard was At the End of the Rainbow. Then I started listening to them more and more from YouTube and purchasing CDs. Anyway, Hammerfall is my #1 favourite band, by far.

When I read 2002 I thought you was going to say that you where introduced by the song of Hearts on Fire so I was a bit surprised But that does not make you less welcome Brandon

 Re: Bookah
Thank God he didn't say HoF. That would be a bad way to start with HF... Legacy of Kings is by far the best album!!!
Welcome to the forum! Hopefully you'll enjoy your time here!

What do you mean by Hearts on Fire is a bad way to start with Hammerfall?

 Re: Bookah
Hearts on Fire is a good song! Well written...
The riffs are advanced, the melodies are awesome!
A powerful song that gives me strength from time to time!
So Crusader, why is it bad?

 Re: Bookah
Gyah! It's so... I don't know... cliche power metal... it's painful. It's good, don't get me wrong (although the riffs are quite generic and boring if you ask me. The pre-chorus sends shivers up my spine ) Although it would seem that HF has fallen into that heavy/power cliche now. They're good, but not as good.

 Re: Bookah
Yeah, I agree, parts of the song is good. I love the opening riff, the verse is good, the pre chorus awesome, but the chorus for me is... meh. Good vocal hook for conserts though. And then, all of this is followed by awesome soloing and lead bits : D. It's pretty.... overlistened by now though.
