Post Re: Drummer-Anders is back!
Is the band positive for making a live album?

I have a question about your start on your drum career.

Did you just practise and practise and practise or did you go and took lessons for it :?:
because i´ve just practised and i´ve become pretty good with both single pedal and double ones.

Hi,

some annswers in random order.

My drum career. No, no lessons really. I took three from a local drum guy called Joacim Rooke. I used to listen to records. Sometimes slowing down the tape or vinyl. Made the sound "darker" but it was easier to hear what they were doing.

Brother of Metal: It's the same for me. It's how you feel that day.
Sometimes it feels like you need to really push yourself a couple of days and then you are up to speed again. It's also how you are built as a person. Long legs, short legs etc. Heavy/light. As always...just keep doing it. Also it's about tha pedal. I have heavy set springs and large angle and it's good for feel and groov. It's a compromise. If there is a lot of fast stuff I sometimes set the springs and angle a bit lighter, but then you miss the groove and feel and power. When Pontus tried my pedal in the rehearsal room he couldn't believe how heavy it was :-)

We like live albums but nowadays it's just the same versions as on the studio record so it's not that interesting. I think we might put some songs on some special editions as bonus here and there, but there are no plans right now for a whole live album. We did record most shows last tour though.

Wacken was great as always. When we played we had the most people so far ever for us and I think more people than for any other band that day (Friday). I was an idiot and took my car down. Seemed like a short trip. Nearly missed the gig.

Favouite song right now might be Life is now. Just because it's so different than the other songs.

Next tour we probably go to Italy. These things are not only up to us. This goes for all countries. It's up to promoters, maybe there is no venue available? Maybe the routing makes it impossible? Many things that can go wrong (or right).

All the best,
Anders

Awesome answers. :D I love Life is Now.

What band/bands got you really interested in making music? And another question that has nothing to do with HammerFall or music, just you. I'm an animal lover... I was wondering if you have any animals.

Bands I liked as a kid: Deep Purple, UK, Frank Zappa, Judas Priest to name a few.

I have fish tanks. Mainly cichlids. And I have a dog together with my girlfried. A scottish terrier.

All the best,
Anders

I just noticed there are links on the bottom of the Hammerfall homepage. The links to music equipment and so on aren't surprising but this one is surprsing: http://www.tendenz.se/default.asp
Now I wonder whose idea was it? Why?...

Oh my! My hair misery is following me wherever I am.

Does it run in the family or is there another reason why both you and Jens are representing your bands most actively online? :D

And is there conspiracy behind Körslaget and Kuorosota winners.
For there is a link the Johansson Brothers.
Both winners have one Johansson in their band so you obviously had some vicious plan to take over the contests :P

Hello,

KMS is a shampoo brand. Joacim got the deal. I have no idea how.

No, Joacim and Timo won by themselves. No help from Jens or me :-).

I guess Jens and I are people with a lots of energy to write to our friends here in the forum.
It's also fun to hear what people say and think.

/Anders
