 Re: Record shop
I prefer to go out visiting a music shop, like I did all my life. That is a fine habit to me what I won't give up.

 Re: Record shop
I prefer going to a shop as well, but some stuff (a lot of heavy metal) is just impossible to find in stores around here... so sometimes I'm stuck with the choice of ordering online or not owning it at all (and in that case I prefer ordering online).

 Re: Record shop
^you're right. And when ordering online is really way cheaper than buying in a shop (right now I'm looking at the first album of Revolution Renaissance), then I also buy online.
BTW soon it will be my birthday, and I already have put some cash aside to go to that really magnificent CD shop that's quite near. I saw a Limited Edition there of Touched by the Crimson King (Demons & Wizards) and the Ancient Forest of Elves single (Luca Turilli). And more...

 Re: Record shop
Most everything comes from online now days, unless I happen to make a trip into Austin. The only place locally that even carries CD's in my neck of the woods is Wal Mart, and the selection leaves a lot to be desired. I very much miss the old record shop back home, it had been in business for years, my Dad bought his vinyl there when he was a teen and we spent many happy afternoon browsing around and just having a good time. Excellent owners, very friendly and truly loved music, all kinds of music. Clicking a few keys and waiting for UPS to deliver just ain't the same.

 Re: Record shop
To be honest, I've never bought anything online.
