Post Re: Any musicians among us?
Well.. I'm a fan of hard rock, but I also play the piano. Of course, i'm not playing as good as Beethoven, but i've been playing the piano for five - six years for now. The big problem is that i can't read the notes. I can only read chords. Strange, in case I have been playing for years but.. it's fun anyway! I'm singing too, has a quite good voice to sing, i don't sing false of course.. I use to record sounds on the computer, but the quality is disappointing, it doesn't sounds good.. But it works anyway. Actually, I hate to listen at the songs i'm recording, and thinks that i'm bad at singing, but my friend love to hear my sounds. Weird.. Maybe I have to admit to myself that i'm good ;)

To have 12 guitars could be a hard thing, I guess, when choosing the one for the moment. But for your eyes
it must be a pleasure to look at them all.

Oh, it definitely is, especially my B.C.Rich KKV. That's not my favorite, but I love it because it's the only V I have.

Hi folks,

this thread is much more than it is by now and does not match what Ohtacaro wanted to
have with it, I guess.
Thus let us fill it out with our own visions of music. Between zero and HammerFall are a lot
of levels where we can settle down our music. If you are singing lonely in the bathroom,
rocking the gerage with friends or playing acoustics in the park...
There are a lot of emotions to show each other. Music can be the answer to so many
questions, that's why take your heart by the hand and give us some pieces...

Following I show you what my vision of Tyrant Metal is by giving you some lines of my song
END OF FEAR. Come on, check it out...

i am a metal drummer, for about 6 years or so..... my favourite style to play is groovy with powerful fast doublekick beats.... not constand doublekick, it wears my nerves! :). I love powerful drum fills, i base my whole style around slick powerful fills that never let a song loose momentum...... i am not so good with the super-speed double kick and blast beats.... plus i dont think that drumming like that sounds all that good anyway!.... i also try to sing from time to time too :)

Well, i TRY to play my violin.........i decided to buy myself one last year , something i always wanted to play as a child but wasn't allowed to. as a child I did play clarinet for a few years, a tenor recorder and i did my music exam(gcse) on the cello, did also try guitar but its just too damn fiddly! all those bloody chords.......... So wanting to try and fulfill a dream, i got a violin, but trying to get an uninterrupted half hour a day can be hard at mine, so its not going too well, i am trying to teach myself with help from online music lessons and books. i recently bought an electric one so i could practice at night(the acoustics are quite loud)but by the time he's gone to work ,anytime between 11pm and 1 am, i can't always be bothered. I am hoping now my eldest daughter is in full time school i can squeeze some time more regularly, especially as my toddler will start playgroup after christmas. The other thing i wanted to do was learn bass, and pick up a cello again, maybe i'm just a sucker for stringed instruments....

Violin seems to be a difficult instrument. I have great respect for everybody who can play violin. :)

I played Keyboard for 10 years and practised guitar for one year but stopped because the teacher was very rude against girls. I did also sing ages ago but mostly musicals like Le Miserable, Grease, the Phanton of the opera and so on.
I haven't sung for more than 6 years and as I tried it a few weeks ago I wasn't able to hit the notes and my voice sounds quite labile.
Actually I don't think I'm a good singer but I'm really proud that I was able to hit the top A of the Phantom of the Opera (the musical). :D
When I was younger I always tried to find other musicans to found a band. Now I think it's too late for it.

I disagree, i don't think its too late to start anything, i have only just picked up an instrument after a break of 16 years, my partner has just bought himself an electronic drum kit and he's 36, we have friends in bands and they are in their 40's. i thimk if you want to try something then just go for it.

Soon(ish) I will buy a drumkit. And I'll try to get my hands on a double pedal as well. I'd like to be able to play metal on the drums.
